A 2022 American animated adventure film, Strange World is produced by Walt Disney Animation Studios. The story centers on an explorer family that must overcome personal conflicts to explore a hidden underground world filled with strange creatures, in order to protect Pando, their society's energy source. Directed by Don Hall and written by Qui Nguyen, the voices of Jake Gyllenhaal, Dennis Quaid, Jaboukie Young-White, Gabrielle Union, and Lucy Liu are featured in the film.

The concept for Strange World originated with Hall in 2017. The project took influence from pulp magazines, Journey to the Center of the Earth (1864), Fantastic Voyage (1966), Jurassic Park (1993), and King Kong (1933). Animator work was done to develop Splat's non-verbal communication. Though primarily using CGI, the film also includes 2D animation sequences created by Randy Haycock, with further contributions from Eric Goldberg and Mark Henn. Henry Jackman composed the soundtrack.

Strange World made its debut at the El Capitan Theatre in Hollywood, Los Angeles, on November 15, 2022, followed by a U.S. release through Walt Disney Pictures on November 23. Critics responded favorably to the film, although it underperformed financially, earning $74 million and projecting a loss of $197 million for Disney. Once available on Disney+, it became the platform's most-viewed title during its initial weeks.
