Significant Other 2022
Significant Other is a 2022 American science fiction horror film directed by Dan Berk and Robert Olsen. The movie features Maika Monroe and Jake Lacy in roles as a couple experiencing relationship difficulties during a forest trip in the Pacific Northwest. Their adventure is disrupted when a meteor impact introduces a malevolent shapeshifting alien creature.
In September 2021, Paramount Players secured rights to the project through competitive bidding, after Monroe and Lacy had agreed to appear and Berk and Olsen were set to direct. The film premiered on streaming platform Paramount+ on October 7, 2022.
