Warfare 2025
Warfare represents a 2025 conflict film crafted by Ray Mendoza and Alex Garland, with Ray Mendoza directing his initial effort. This production stems from Mendoza's military service in Iraq as a U.S. Navy SEAL, illustrating an engagement occurring on 19 November 2006 following the Battle of Ramadi. The screenplay incorporates accounts from squad members and unfolds chronologically. Leading roles feature D'Pharaoh Woon-A-Tai portraying Mendoza alongside Will Poulter, Cosmo Jarvis, Kit Connor, Finn Bennett, Joseph Quinn, and Charles Melton. The production honors Elliott Miller, a platoon member played by Jarvis, who suffered loss of limb and speech during the event.
The Music Box Theatre in Chicago hosted the premiere on 16 March 2025, with A24 distributing the film domestically on 11 April 2025 and in the UK on 18 April. Critics responded favorably to the movie's execution and collected $35.1 million globally.
