The Ritual represents a 2025 American horror production directed by David Midell with screenplay credits going to Midell and Enrico Natale. This motion picture adapts material from actual events, chronicling the efforts of clergy members Theophilus Riesinger (Al Pacino) and Joseph Steiger (Dan Stevens) who must overcome their conflicts in order to assist allegedly tormented adolescent Emma Schmidt (Abigail Cowen) via multiple exorcism rituals. XYZ Films distributed the film on June 6, 2025, yet it garnered predominantly unfavorable assessments from cinematic critics.
