Sinners represents a 2025 American horror motion picture, crafted by Ryan Coogler in his roles as producer, screenwriter, and director. The narrative unfolds in 1932, situated within the Mississippi Delta, featuring Michael B. Jordan portraying twin criminals who revisit their native town during the Jim Crow era, only to face a spectral malevolence. Supporting performers include Hailee Steinfeld, Miles Caton making his cinematic debut, Jack O'Connell, Wunmi Mosaku, Jayme Lawson, Omar Benson Miller, Li Jun Li, and Delroy Lindo.

Director Coogler initiated development of Sinners via his production firm Proximity Media, with Jordan securing the principal role early on. The project was unveiled in January 2024, followed by a competitive acquisition process, after which Warner Bros. Pictures secured distribution rights the subsequent month. Supplementary casting occurred in April. Principal filming spanned from April through July 2024. Longtime collaborator Ludwig Göransson handled the musical score and served as executive producer.

Sinners opened on April 3, 2025 at AMC Lincoln Square in New York City, followed by a theatrical release within the United States on April 18, 2025. The film earned widespread critical praise and achieved strong box office performance, collecting more than $371 million globally while operating under a budget of $90 million. It ranked among the top ten productions of 2025 according to both the National Board of Review and the American Film Institute. Sinners accumulated numerous honors, including an unprecedented 16 nods at the 98th Academy Awards, securing four wins: Best Actor for Jordan, Best Original Screenplay, Best Cinematography (marking Autumn Durald Arkapaw as the first woman to claim this award), and Best Original Score. Furthermore, it obtained 13 BAFTA nominations, winning three, such as Best Original Screenplay; four Critics' Choice Awards; two Golden Globe Awards; two Actor Awards (including Outstanding Performance by a Cast in a Motion Picture); and a landmark 18 nods and 13 victories at the 57th NAACP Image Awards, notably capturing the NAACP Image Award for Outstanding Motion Picture.
