I Know What You Did Last Summer is a 2025 American slasher film serving as the fourth entry in the I Know What You Did Last Summer franchise and functioning as a sequel to I Still Know What You Did Last Summer (1998). The story unfolds 27 years after the Tower Bay murders depicted in the second film, where a new hook-wielding killer emerges and starts stalking a group of friends exactly one year after they concealed a fatal car accident they caused. This movie was directed by Jennifer Kaytin Robinson, who collaborated on the screenplay with Sam Lansky based on a story by Leah McKendrick and Robinson. The cast includes Madelyn Cline, Chase Sui Wonders, Jonah Hauer-King, Tyriq Withers, Sarah Pidgeon, Billy Campbell, Gabbriette Bechtel, and Austin Nichols, with Freddie Prinze Jr. and Jennifer Love Hewitt returning as characters Ray Bronson and Julie James from the initial two films.

Initial plans for a fourth movie in the series began in 2014, when Mike Flanagan and Jeff Howard committed to developing a reboot completely disconnected from prior entries. That version never came to fruition. After the cancellation of the 2021 television adaptation, the project was revived when Robinson pitched her concept to Sony Pictures. Early development commenced in February 2023, with producer Neal H. Moritz returning to the production. Prinze Jr. and Hewitt were confirmed to return in 2024, while additional cast members joined during that time. Principal photography occurred between October 2024 and March 2025 across locations in Sydney and Los Angeles.

The film made its debut at the United Theater on Broadway in Los Angeles on July 14, 2025, followed by a theatrical release in the United States by Sony Pictures Releasing on July 18. Critics offered mixed feedback, and the film earned $64.8 million globally.
