28 Years Later represents a 2025 post-apocalyptic coming-of-age horror production under the direction and production of Danny Boyle, with screenplay by Alex Garland. As the third entry in the 28 Days Later cinematic universe, it features performances from Jodie Comer, Aaron Taylor-Johnson, Jack O'Connell, Alfie Williams, and Ralph Fiennes. The narrative follows a young protagonist navigating a post-collapse society while pursuing dangerous travel alongside his sick mother to secure her medical care.

28 Years Later features the return appearances of Boyle, Garland, and cinematographer Anthony Dod Mantle within the franchise. Cillian Murphy, previously featured in the initial film, functioned as executive producer. Production occurred simultaneously with its follow-up, 28 Years Later: The Bone Temple, directed by Nia DaCosta and issued in January 2026.

28 Years Later premiered in the United Kingdom and United States through Sony Pictures Releasing on 20 June 2025. Critical reception proved favorable while achieving $151 million in global earnings compared to its $60 million production cost, establishing itself as the most commercially successful installment of the series.
