Baby Driver is a 2017 action film written and directed by Edgar Wright. The movie features Ansel Elgort in the role of Baby, a getaway driver trying to escape a life of crime alongside his girlfriend Debora (Lily James). Supporting cast members include Kevin Spacey, Jon Hamm, Eiza González, Jon Bernthal, and Jamie Foxx. Eric Fellner and his Working Title Films collaborator Tim Bevan created Baby Driver as a production for Big Talk Productions's Nira Park. The film received commercial distribution from Sony and TriStar Pictures. Financing came through tax incentives provided by the Georgia state government along with a co-production agreement between TriStar and MRC.

Wright developed the concept for Baby Driver in the mid-1990s, turning it into an extended personal project. At first set in Los Angeles, Wright moved the story to Atlanta after securing financial support through tax credits, which helped shape the narrative using the city's atmosphere. Principal filming occurred in Atlanta between February and May 2016. The production required careful coordination of stunts, choreography, and in-camera effects. Scholars have analyzed themes in Baby Driver focusing on color symbolism and character development.

The film debuted at the South by Southwest festival on March 11, 2017, with subsequent releases across North America and the UK on June 28. Reviewers appreciated its technical execution and acting performances, although some critiques focused on plot structure. The National Board of Review recognized Baby Driver as one of the year's finest films. It grossed $227million worldwide, helped by strong audience reception and renewed attention to big-budget movies. Baby Driver received multiple award nominations, including three Academy Awards, two BAFTA Film Awards (winning one), two Critics' Choice Awards (winning one), and a Golden Globe for Best Actor in a Musical or Comedy for Elgort, plus several other accolades mainly for technical work. Following its success, media speculation arose regarding a sequel, which is still being considered as of 2026.
