A 2018 American science fiction action film, The Predator is the fourth entry in its franchise, taking place between Predator 2 from 1990 and Predators from 2010. Directed by Shane Black and co-written with Fred Dekker, the movie features a cast including Boyd Holbrook, Trevante Rhodes, Jacob Tremblay, Keegan-Michael Key, Olivia Munn, Thomas Jane, Alfie Allen, and Sterling K. Brown. It centers on a group of soldiers dealing with PTSD and a scientist who join forces against two Predator invaders, uncovering threats to humanity.

Development began in June 2014, with Shane Black confirmed as both director and writer. Major casting announcements occurred between October 2016 and January 2017. Principal photography was filmed in British Columbia from February through June 2017, but a major rewrite and reshoot were done in July 2018 due to unsatisfactory test screenings.

The film made its debut at the Toronto International Film Festival on September 6, 2018 and opened in the U.S. on September 14 through 20th Century Fox. Critics responded negatively, and it earned $160 million worldwide despite a $88 million budget. A prequel titled Prey followed in 2022.
