A 2018 American vigilante action-thriller film, Death Wish represents a remake of the 1974 original and the sixth entry in the series. Directed by Eli Roth, written by Joe Carnahan and produced by Roger Birnbaum, it follows Dr. Paul Kersey played by Bruce Willis. The Chicago-based surgeon becomes vengeance-driven after his family suffers an attack. Supporting cast includes Vincent D'Onofrio, Elisabeth Shue, Dean Norris and Kimberly Elise.

Released in North America on March 2, 2018 by Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer Pictures, the film earned $55.9 million globally despite a $30 million budget. Critics delivered negative feedback, focusing on the script and intense violence. They questioned its portrayal of firearms amid recent mass shootings and claimed it promoted conservative and pro-gun views. Nevertheless, praise came for the action choreography, direction by Roth, and performance by Willis.
