Hubie Halloween is a 2020 American horror comedy mystery film. Steve Brill directed this movie, which he co-wrote with Tim Herlihy and Adam Sandler. Adam Sandler plays the main character, Hubie, a delicatessen worker who loves Halloween. The film features an ensemble cast including Kevin James, Julie Bowen, Ray Liotta, Rob Schneider, June Squibb, Kenan Thompson, Shaquille O'Neal, Steve Buscemi, Tim Meadows, Maya Rudolph, and Ben Stiller. Ben Stiller returns to his role from Happy Gilmore (1996). The story takes place in Salem, Massachusetts. Hubie must rescue the town from a kidnapper while various comedic situations unfold. It was released on October 7, 2020 by Netflix. Critics gave it mixed reviews. Some found it superior to Sandler's other recent comedies. The film honors Cameron Boyce, who was supposed to co-star but passed away in 2019 from epilepsy. Karan Brar, Boyce's Jessie co-star, took his place instead.
