Bruised 2020
A 2020 sports drama film, Bruised stars Halle Berry in her directorial debut, also serving as producer. The movie features Shamier Anderson, Adan Canto, Sheila Atim, Stephen McKinley Henderson and Adriane Lenox in supporting roles. Michelle Rosenfarb wrote the screenplay. The film premiered at the 2020 Toronto International Film Festival on September 12, 2020. It later opened in select theaters and on Netflix in November 2021. Critics gave mixed reviews, complimenting Berry's direction and performance while faulting the script and tonal inconsistencies.
