Horror thrillerPsychological horrorPsychological thriller

A 2021 American psychological horror thriller, We Need to Do Something follows a family cornered in their bathroom amid a tornado. The film, directed by Sean King O'Grady, is based on a novella of the same name and stars Sierra McCormick, Vinessa Shaw, Lisette Alexis, Pat Healy, and Ozzy Osbourne, who appears in a brief voice cameo during his final movie role before passing away in July 2025. Filmed during the COVID-19 era, it marks the debut film from Spin a Black Yarn Productions, with Josh Malerman and Ryan Lewis as producers. The movie premiered worldwide at the Tribeca Film Festival in June 2021, then opened theatrically through IFC Films on September 3, 2021. Critics were divided, applauding character development, jump-scares, and McCormick's acting, yet faulting its inability to fully portray the psychological terror of being trapped close to loved ones with no escape.
