V/H/S/94 is a 2021 American found footage horror film written by David Bruckner and Brad Miska. This sequel to V/H/S: Viral (2014) serves as the fourth entry in the V/H/S series and functions as a prequel to the initial three films. The story takes place in 1994 and contains four found footage stories connected by a fifth frame narrative. Directors Simon Barrett and Timo Tjahjanto return for this project, joined by new filmmakers Jennifer Reeder, Ryan Prows, Chloe Okuno, and Steven Kostanski. The movie marks the first installment in the franchise not distributed through Magnolia Pictures' Magnet Releasing label. It debuted as a Shudder Original Film on the streaming platform Shudder in the United States on October 6, 2021, becoming the first V/H/S film to appear on Shudder. The release achieved record-breaking viewership for Shudder, surpassing previous numbers until 99 was released on October 20, 2022.
