S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2: Heart of Chornobyl 2024
S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2: Heart of Chornobyl is a 2024 first-person shooter video game developed and published by GSC Game World. It is the fourth main title in the S.T.A.L.K.E.R. series, and the first S.T.A.L.K.E.R. game in 15 years since Call of Pripyat released in 2009.
The game was initially announced after Call of Pripyat’s release, with S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2 planned for 2012, but it was cancelled during that year. Development restarted in 2018, using Unreal Engine 5. It was set to launch on 8 December 2022 for Windows and Xbox Series X/S, though development paused due to the Russian invasion of Ukraine.
After several delays, S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2: Heart of Chornobyl released on 20 November 2024. Within two days, it sold one million copies, and received mixed reviews. A PlayStation 5 version was later released on 20 November 2025.
