Crow Country 2024
Crow Country is a 2024 survival horror video game made by SFB Games. The game takes place in 1990 and centers on investigator Mara Forest as she enters the deserted Crow Country theme park looking for its owner. She discovers disturbing truths hidden within the park. Players explore the environment, solve puzzles, and fight enemies.
The project was revealed in 2023. Its design draws influence from early PlayStation survival horror games from the 1990s, such as Resident Evil and Silent Hill. Developers aimed to recreate the look and feel of those older titles while adding updated elements like better movement controls, aiming mechanics, and accessibility tools.
Crow Country launched on October May 2024 for PlayStation 5, Windows, and Xbox Series X/S. Nintendo Switch and PlayStation 4 versions came out in October. Critics responded favorably to its visual style, story, and nostalgic tone but had mixed opinions about combat and puzzle design. The game proved profitable, selling more than 100,000 copies within six months of release.
