Frostpunk 2 is a city-building survival video game made by 11 Bit Studios. The game begins 30 years after the first title, placing players in charge of leading a community in the early 20th century. Players must construct and oversee a settlement amid a global volcanic winter that has nearly ended humanity. The game requires making difficult moral and political decisions to keep the city alive. It was launched for macOS and Windows PC on September 20, 2024. A later version released for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S on September 18, 2025. Frostpunk 2 supports single-player mode. The game’s setting involves an alternate history of civilization's collapse. Players manage resources and population under extreme conditions. The title continues the themes of survival and ethical choices from its predecessor. It is a sequel to the original Frostpunk game.
