Madison 2022
Madison (stylized as MADiSON) is a first-person horror video game developed by Argentine studio Bloodious Games and published by British publisher Perpetual Games. The game was initially released on July 8, 2022 for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Windows, and Xbox Series X/S. Perpetual Games handled international localization and publishing for Nintendo Switch consoles on August 26, 2022. A VR version of MADiSON was later ported to PSVR2 and PCVR platforms in May 2024.
The narrative centers on a teenage boy named Luca who receives a cursed instant camera as a sixteenth birthday gift. Using the camera, he must solve puzzles and uncover its dark secrets.
Work on the game began in 2016, with a demo released on itch.io in 2017 that garnered universal acclaim. Bloodious Games continued development into 2021. MADiSON achieved commercial success and received positive reviews for its puzzle design and tension. It earned multiple awards from various gaming publications, though critics noted its lack of originality.
