Persona 5 Tactica is a 2023 tactical role-playing game developed and published by Atlus. It is a title within the Persona series, which belongs to the broader Megami Tensei franchise. The game occurs alongside events from Persona 5 (2016), showing the Phantom Thieves of Hearts being transported into a war-torn alternate realm filled with oppression. There, they join forces with a resistance group called the Rebel Corps to fight against the Legionnaires while discovering the secrets behind this strange world. The gameplay follows typical strategy RPG elements such as grid-based movement, weapon affinities, and turn-based battles. It also includes familiar mechanics from the series like Persona summoning and fusion, along with elemental interactions.
The development of Persona 5 Tactica began because Atlus wanted to produce a strategy RPG within the Persona universe, using their previous experience in similar genres and building on the established Persona 5 setting.
Persona 5 Tactica launched on Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Windows, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S on November 17, 2023. A bonus story chapter titled "Repaint Your Heart" was released as downloadable content on the same day.
