Diablo IV 2023
Action role-playing, hack and slash
Diablo IV is a 2023 action role-playing game developed and published by Blizzard Entertainment. It represents the fourth primary entry in the Diablo series. The game was unveiled at BlizzCon 2019 and launched on June 5, 2023 for PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5, Xbox One and Xbox Series X and S, and Microsoft Windows. Players choose from eight playable classes—Barbarian, Sorcerer, Druid, Rogue, Necromancer, Spiritborn, Paladin, or Warlock—and progress through quests using combat skills.
Core elements from prior entries, including replayable, randomly generated dungeons and loot-driven character development, return in this title. Additionally, it introduces new systems like an open world and player versus player battles.
Diablo IV earned generally favorable reviews from critics who commended its story and setting. By September 2024, the game had earned over one billion dollars. Its initial expansion, Vessel of Hatred, launched in October 2024, followed by a second expansion, Lord of Hatred, released in April 2026.
