Alan Wake 2 2023
Alan Wake 2 is a 2023 survival horror video game developed by Remedy Entertainment and published by Epic Games Publishing. This sequel to Alan Wake (2010) continues the tale of best-selling novelist Alan Wake, who has been confined in an alternate dimension for 13 years. His mission involves writing a horror story that features FBI Special Agent Saga Anderson as he tries to find a way out.
Alan Wake 2 launched on PlayStation 5, Windows, and Xbox Series X/S on 27 October 2023. The game's development and marketing budget reportedly reached €70 million, marking it among the most costly games ever made and one of Finland’s most expensive cultural outputs. Critics responded positively to Alan Wake 2, with the title earning multiple Game of the Year nominations. By December 2024, it had surpassed 2 million units sold, becoming Remedy's quickest-selling game to date. Additional content came in the form of Night Springs, released on 8 June 2024, followed by The Lake House on 22 October 2024.
