Kin is a 2026 novel written by American author Tayari Jones. This fifth work by Jones tells the story of two motherless girls growing up in the fictional town of Honeysuckle, Louisiana, beginning in the 1950s and continuing into adulthood. The novel was released on February 24, 2026 through Knopf. It was chosen for Oprah's Book Club, which marks Jones’s second time appearing on the program after An American Marriage (2018). The book received the Kirkus Prize for Fiction in 2026.
