Make Something Wonderful is a 2023 American memoir published posthumously, more than 11 years after Steve Jobs’ death. The collection was assembled by a small group of family members, friends, and former coworkers. It includes notes, drafts, letters, speeches, oral histories, interviews, photographs, and personal items that offer an intimate look into Jobs' life and mindset. The book is published by the Steve Jobs Archive and is available for free online as well as on Apple Books.

Leslie Berlin edited the volume. The design was created by LoveFrom, a company established by Jony Ive, Apple’s former chief design officer. The minimalist gray and white style mirrors Apple's aesthetic. Laurene Powell Jobs, Steve Jobs’ wife for 20 years, wanted readers to experience her husband’s words directly, without filters.

Tim Cook, Apple's CEO at the time, gave a hardcover copy of the book to all Apple employees to remind them of the company’s mission: to build products that improve lives and make the world better. Powell Jobs said the book acts as a reminder to keep technology rooted in human values, especially during an era marked by AI-related disruptions and ethical concerns. Disney CEO Bob Iger, who had acquired Jobs’ Pixar, also shared hardcover copies with Disney staff.

The 250-page volume started as a 40-page booklet and contains previously unseen images. It emphasizes Jobs' personal beliefs, philosophies, and guiding principles more than his business strategies or leadership style. The content is arranged in chronological order to give readers an inside look at Jobs’ life, especially his efforts to share knowledge and support younger generations, most clearly seen in his commencement addresses.

Make Something Wonderful supports the Steve Jobs Archive's objective of safeguarding Steve Jobs' memory by offering a rare and personal window into his mindset.
