Maggie, a curious learner, chooses to create strawberry earrings as her initial project. Her grandmother teaches her how to make them while sharing the history of The Indian Act and the First Nations (Indigenous Peoples). Granny explains how connecting to one’s identity is vital and recounts her own experience of being forced from her home after losing her status by marrying outside her group.
