Resident Evil is an action horror television series created by Andrew Dabb for Netflix. Based on the video game franchise from Capcom, it follows the second adaptation of the property after the animated miniseries Infinite Darkness (2021), and the third live-action version following the original film series and the reboot Welcome to Raccoon City (2021). The show exists in its own universe but uses the games' narrative as background material.

The cast includes Lance Reddick playing clones of Albert Wesker, Ella Balinska and Adeline Rudolph as Wesker's offspring, Tamara Smart and Siena Agudong as the younger versions of the daughters, Paola Núñez as Evelyn, daughter of James Marcus, and Ahad Raza Mir as Arjun Batra. The series moves between two timelines: one set in New Raccoon City where Jade and Billie Wesker uncover their father’s and Umbrella Corporation's hidden truths, and another in 14 years later, showing Jade fighting to survive a global catastrophe.

Development began at Netflix in 2019, with Constantin Film, which produced the earlier films, as the production company. The series was officially announced in 2020 and greenlit for eight episodes, each running an hour long. Dabb was named showrunner along with several other Netflix projects. Production faced delays due to the COVID-19 pandemic, starting in February and finishing by July 2021. Resident Evil debuted on July 14, 2022, receiving mixed reviews from critics. The series ended in August 2022 after just one season.
