Pretty Little Liars 2022
Pretty Little Liars is a 2022 American slasher teen drama mystery television series made by Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa and Lindsay Calhoon Bring for HBO Max. It marks the fourth and final television series in the Pretty Little Liars franchise, based on novels by Sara Shepard, continuing the same story as earlier shows. The show includes an ensemble cast led by Bailee Madison, Chandler Kinney, Zaria, Malia Pyles, and Maia Reficco.
Warner Bros. announced development of the series in September 2020 with Aguirre-Sacasa as showrunner. HBO Max approved a straight-to-series order at the end of that month. Production occurred in New York during the COVID-19 period. This is the first series in the franchise not airing on ABC Family/Freeform but instead released on a streaming platform.
Season one, called Original Sin, launched on July 28, 2022. The show received renewal for a second season titled Summer School in September 2022, which began on May 9, 2024. After two seasons, the series was discontinued in September 2024 with an unresolved ending.
