Ms. Marvel is a 2022 American television miniseries produced by Marvel Studios for the streaming platform Disney+. It represents the seventh series in the Marvel Cinematic Universe and shares continuity with the franchise’s films. The show, created by Bisha K. Ali, adapts the character Kamala Khan / Ms. Marvel from Marvel Comics. Kamala Khan, a 16-year-old fan of the Avengers, faces challenges fitting into her community before discovering her powers. Ali handled the head writing duties while Adil & Bilall directed the project.

Iman Vellani portrays Kamala Khan, with Matt Lintz, Yasmeen Fletcher, Zenobia Shroff, Mohan Kapur, Saagar Shaikh, Laurel Marsden, Azhar Usman, Rish Shah, Arian Moayed, Alysia Reiner, Laith Nakli, Nimra Bucha, Travina Springer, Adaku Ononogbo, Samina Ahmad, Fawad Khan, Mehwish Hayat, Farhan Akhtar, and Aramis Knight also starring. The miniseries was announced in August 2019 with Ali’s participation. Vellani joined the cast in September 2020. Adil & Bilall, Meera Menon, and Sharmeen Obaid-Chinoy were hired as directors. Principal photography commenced in early November 2020, taking place in Atlanta, Georgia, and New Jersey, wrapping up in Thailand by May 2021.

The series premiered on June 8, 2022 and concluded after six episodes on July 13. It is part of Phase Four of the MCU. Critics praised the show for its visual creativity and Vellani’s portrayal of Kamala. The miniseries sets up events featured in the 2023 film The Marvels, where Vellani returns as Kamala Khan.
