Gordita Chronicles 2022
Gordita Chronicles is an American comedy television series that debuted on HBO Max streaming platform on June 23, 2022. This show follows Cucu Castelli, a journalist recounting her teenage years in 1980s where she grew up as an independent and unwilling "gordita" (meaning "chubby girl") while her family moved from the Dominican Republic to Miami, Florida. Her father works as a fast-rising airline executive covering routes to Florida and the Caribbean.
July 29, 2022 marked the cancellation of the series after just one season, as part of HBO Max's strategy to cut back on children's programming. The show disappeared from HBO Max streaming service in December 2022.
