Dark Winds is a 2026 American psychological thriller television series directed by Graham Roland, adapted from the Leaphorn & Chee police procedural novel series by Tony Hillerman. The show debuted on AMC on June 12, 2022. Joe Leaphorn is played by Zahn McClarnon, Jim Chee by Kiowa Gordon, and Bernadette Manuelito by Jessica Matten, all of whom are Navajo Tribal Police officers. The majority of the cast identifies as Native American. Roland, McClarnon, George R. R. Martin, and Robert Redford serve as executive producers. This marks Redford’s third adaptation of Hillerman's works, following the 1991 film The Dark Wind and the 2002 movie Skinwalkers. Redford’s involvement ends with this series both in front of and behind the camera; his final appearance was a brief cameo in a 2025 episode.

Critics have responded very favorably to the show, especially praising McClarnon’s acting. Season two launched on July 30, 2023, season three on March 9, 2025, and season four on February 15, 2026. Ahead of its fourth-season premiere in February 2026, the series was ordered for a fifth season scheduled to air in 2027.
