Unchosen 2026
Unchosen represents a British psychological thriller series authored and scripted by Julie Gearey, made available on Netflix during 21 April 2026. This six-episode program features Molly Windsor in the role of Rosie, a female resident within a rigid, secluded religious group whose existence becomes unsettled through an unexpected meeting with an inmate who has fled, portrayed by Fra Fee. The series debuted on Netflix at 21 April 2026. Following its launch, it achieved international streaming dominance, climbing to position one in 69 nations.
Drawing from authentic encounters within extreme religious organizations, the program references the Plymouth Brethren Christian Church along with similar fundamentalist denominations to shape its concepts of brainwashing and psychological damage. The production reinforced this relationship by shooting significant sequences in an old Plymouth Brethren gospel hall located in Harrow, London, while performer Asa Butterfield allegedly reviewed materials about the group to better embody his character.
