The Hunt 2026
The Hunt (2026 TV series) represents a French drama miniseries containing six episodes, created by Gaumont Television. Global distribution occurred through Apple TV on 4 March 2026, despite a delay resulting from plagiarism allegations.
Original scheduling indicated premiere on Apple TV via 3 December 2025, yet this was delayed during late November 2025 due to accusations that the production's narrative derived from Douglas Fairbairn's 1973 novel Shoot, which also served as foundation for the 1976 motion picture Shoot.
Gaumont Television conducted an inquiry determining that Cédric Anger, writer and director of the miniseries, failed to acknowledge Fairbairn's source material. Following corrections in the series' credits and promotional content, 4 March 2026 was designated as new premiere date on 19 February.
