Velma is an American adult animated mystery comedy television series that uses characters from the Scooby-Doo franchise. It was created by Charlie Grandy for HBO Max. Mindy Kaling serves as executive producer and provides the voice of Velma Dinkley, with Sam Richardson, Constance Wu, and Glenn Howerton in supporting roles. Grady also acts as showrunner. The series focuses on Velma Dinkley and other human members of Mystery Inc. prior to their official team formation, marking it as the first TV series in the franchise without Scooby-Doo.

The show launched on January 12, 2023. Its second season appeared on April 25, 2024, followed by a Halloween special on October 3 of that same year. In October 2024, the series was discontinued after only two seasons, with confirmation coming 6 days after the Halloween episode aired.

Critics gave Velma poor reviews, pointing out flaws in its humor, meta narrative elements, character development, script, and deviations from classic Scooby-Doo formulas, although voice work and animation received praise. Viewers responded very negatively to the series.
