The Final Problem (Spanish: El problema final) represents a 2026 Spanish murder mystery television miniseries adapted from the 2023 novel The Final Problem authored by Arturo Pérez-Reverte. This production received direction from Félix Viscarret and contained screenplay contributions from Alberto Macías, Carlos Molinero and Marisol Farré. Principal actors include José Coronado, María Valverde, Martiño Rivas and Maribel Verdú, along with additional cast members.
The storyline unfolds during springtime 1959 when thirteen individuals become trapped on a remote island near Mallorca due to severe weather conditions. Following the discovery of English visitor Elisa Mander's corpse at their accommodation, Benjamin Basil, a former performer who previously played Sherlock Holmes in cinema productions, intervenes in what appears to be a homicide investigation. Rising accusations between guests and hotel personnel uncover an intricate puzzle.
MOD Producciones served as producer for this four-part miniseries that debuted on Netflix during 25 September 2026.
