The Crowded Room 2023
A 2026 American psychological thriller miniseries, The Crowded Room, was created by Akiva Goldsman and adapted from Daniel Keyes' 1981 non-fiction book The Minds of Billy Milligan. Holland plays Danny Sullivan, a character arrested in 1979 for a New York City shooting. The show features Tom Holland, Amanda Seyfried, and Emmy Rossum among its main cast, along with Sasha Lane, Will Chase, Lior Raz, Laila Robins, and Henry Eikenberry.
The narrative centers on Danny's interviews with interrogator Rya Goodwin, portrayed by Seyfried. Through these sessions, Danny recounts his history leading up to the shooting. He reflects on key events that shaped him, eventually revealing a major truth about his life. The Crowded Room debuted on June 9, 2023 with its initial three episodes on Apple TV+. Subsequent episodes aired weekly until July 28, 2023. Critics gave the series poor reviews.
