Squid Game: The Challenge is a British reality competition series inspired by the South Korean drama Squid Game. The first and second seasons each included 456 contestants vying for a prize of million, which at that time represented the biggest cash reward and largest contestant count in reality television history.

The original format was developed through a joint effort between Studio Lambert and the Garden, with Studio Lambert managing production activities in the UK. Season one premiered with its first five episodes on 22 November 2023, followed by episodes 6–9 released on 29 November, and the finale episode 10 aired on 6 December. For season two, initial four episodes launched on 4 November 2025, then episodes 5–8 appeared on 11 November, with the conclusion episode 9 debuting on 18 November.

The series ranked No. 1 on Netflix's list of top English-language programs during the first two weeks following its debut. It garnered 20.5 million views during the opening week, 11.4 million in the second week, and 6.6 million in the third, accumulating more than 224 million hours streamed within the first 21 days.

The show was ordered for a third season on 10 July 2025. On 3 March 2026, Netflix revealed that the upcoming season, now titled Squid Game: The VIP Challenge, would include 8 celebrity VIP participants.
