Justified: City Primeval 2023
Justified: City Primeval is an American neo-Western crime drama television miniseries created by showrunners Dave Andron and Michael Dinner. This series picks up where Justified left off, drawing inspiration from the Elmore Leonard novel City Primeval: High Noon in Detroit and the short story "Fire in the Hole". Timothy Olyphant reprises his role as Deputy U.S. Marshal Raylan Givens, while Paul Calderón returns as Detective Raymond Cruz, a character originally from the 1998 crime comedy film Out of Sight. That film was based on Leonard's 1996 novel of the same title. The world premiere occurred on June 1, 2023 during the 12th ATX Television Festival. FX broadcast the series starting July 18, 2023, with episodes aired consecutively. Critics responded favorably to the production.
