The Wonderfools 2026
Action adventureComedySuperhero
The Wonderfools is a 2026 South Korean superhero comedy action adventure show crafted by Kang Eun-kyung, penned by Heo Da-joong, helmed by Yoo In-shik, and featuring Park Eun-bin, Cha Eun-woo, Kim Hae-sook, Choi Dae-hoon, Im Seong-jae, and Son Hyun-joo. The program centers on "imperfect superhumans" whose powers they cannot manage, leading to accidental usage.
Development began as early as 2018 under the name The B-Team, initially intended as a Stan Lee-inspired adaptation, later evolving into an entirely new original concept. Produced jointly by Kakao Entertainment and Fantagio, filming occurred from October 2024 through May 2025. It premiered worldwide on Netflix of May 15, 2026.
The Wonderfools garnered generally favorable critiques for its compassionate humanism, late-1990s retro feel, and acting. Financially, the series opened at sixth place on Netflix's Global Top 10 Non-English Shows list following three days of tracking and placed eighth among Nielsen’s most-viewed streaming originals in the U.S. during its inaugural full week, marking the only non-English-language series within the Top 10.
