Cartoon Cartoons refers to a group of original animated television programs produced by Cartoon Network between July 14, 1997 and June 14, 2004, primarily by Hanna-Barbera and later Cartoon Network Studios. The initial Cartoon Cartoon, Dexter's Laboratory, debuted in 1996, one year prior to the term being officially applied. Additional original shows included Johnny Bravo, Cow and Chicken, I Am Weasel, The Powerpuff Girls, Ed, Edd n Eddy, Mike, Lu & Og, Courage the Cowardly Dog, Sheep in the Big City, Time Squad, Grim & Evil (which was later separated into The Grim Adventures of Billy & Mandy and Evil Con Carne), Whatever Happened to... Robot Jones?, and Codename: Kids Next Door.

Cartoon Network initially concentrated on re-airing older animated content obtained through its parent company's film collection but gradually expanded into original content. The Cartoon Cartoons began with Fred Seibert’s What a Cartoon! (1995), an anthology series that showcased pilot episodes submitted by independent animators. Dexter's Laboratory became the first of these pilots to be approved for a full series in 1996. Subsequent pilots such as Cow and Chicken, Johnny Bravo, and The Powerpuff Girls were also adapted into separate series. These programs were subsequently featured on the network’s Friday night block, Cartoon Cartoon Fridays, from 1999 to 2003. Not all original series created during this period were officially designated as Cartoon Cartoons; for instance, Samurai Jack did not carry this title.

The name was discontinued by the network in 2004, and its final remaining series, Ed, Edd n Eddy, concluded in 2009 after a decade of production. Following their peak years, reruns of these shows continued to air on The Cartoon Cartoon Show (2005–2008) and Cartoon Planet (2012–2014). In 2021, the network reintroduced the name for a new short-form program on YouTube.
