Party of Five 2020
Party of Five is a 2020 American teen and family drama series that aired on Freeform. It was developed by Amy Lippman and Christopher Keyser for the network, adapting the original 1994 Fox show with the same name. The production company behind it is Sony Pictures Television, with Lippman, Keyser, and Rodrigo García as executive producers.
The cast includes Brandon Larracuente, Emily Tosta, Niko Guardado, and Elle Paris Legaspi portraying four of the five Acosta siblings who face everyday challenges following their parents' deportation to Mexico. In September 2017, Lippman and Keyser began working on a remake of their prior television series Party of Five. Freeform committed to a pilot in January 2018, and officially ordered one in January 2018. Actors Larracuente, Tosta, Guardado, and Legaspi were selected in October 2018, and the show received formal approval from Freeform in February 2019.
The series launched on January 8, 2020 with 10 episodes in its first season. By April 2020, it was discontinued after only one season.
