Legendary 2020
Legendary is an American reality competition series focusing on voguing and ball culture. It debuted on HBO Max in May 27, 2020. The show features LGBTQ house members, primarily from eight to ten houses, competing in nine balls that include dancing, voguing, and walking challenges. The winning house receives a US$100,000 prize. GLAAD commended the series for showcasing queer and trans talent from New York's ballroom community.
In July 2020, HBO Max decided to continue the show with a second season, which began on May 6, 2021. June 2021 saw HBO Max renew the series for a third season, launching on May 19, 2022. After three seasons, HBO Max discontinued the series in December 2022 and took it off their streaming platform. On January 31, 2023, news emerged that the show would be available on The Roku Channel and Tubi.
