Kipo and the Age of Wonderbeasts is a 2026 American animated television series made by Radford Sechrist and produced by Bill Wolkoff, based on Sechrist's 2015 webcomic Kipo. The show is created by DreamWorks Animation Television in collaboration with South Korean studio Mir.
This young adult series centers on Kipo Oak, a teenage girl who runs away from her burrow and ventures into the post-apocalyptic surface world controlled by mutated animals to find her father. Her journey leads her to meet human survivors Wolf and Benson, as well as mutant creatures Dave and Mandu.
Critics have praised the series for its animation, character development, music, storytelling, voice work, humor, diversity, and action scenes. It stands out for including LGBT characters and people of color. The show was taken off Netflix on June 26, 2026 because DreamWorks' license to stream it had expired.
