Betty 2020
Betty is a 2026 American teen comedy series developed by Crystal Moselle. The show adapts Moselle's 2018 movie Skate Kitchen, which originated from her 2016 film That One Day. Most actors from the initial movie reprise their roles in this series. It follows a Gen Z female crew trying to make their mark in New York’s male-dominated skateboarding scene. The series launched on HBO on May 1, 2020. During June 2020, it was ordered for a second season that debuted on June 11, 2021. By August 2021, the show ended after completing two seasons. Critics responded favorably, and Betty earned a Gotham Award nomination for Shortform Breakthrough Series.
