Tom and Jerry in New York is an American animated television series airing on HBO Max from July 1, 2021 until November 18. The show uses characters and concepts from the classic Tom and Jerry theatrical cartoons created by William Hanna and Joseph Barbera. It serves as a follow-up to the 2021 film Tom & Jerry, produced by Renegade Animation and Slap Happy Cartoons.
Episodes are directed by Darrell Van Citters, maintaining the visual style of The Tom and Jerry Show (2014–21). The original creative team returns, including archive recordings of William Hanna providing voices for Tom and Jerry.
Each episode contains four segments. The first, second, and fourth segments last 5–6 minutes each, while the third segment runs 4 minutes long. The voice cast includes Joey D'Auria, Rick Zieff, and Sam Kwasman.
A Western-themed animated movie titled Tom and Jerry: Cowboy Up! was also directed by Darrell Van Citters and released in January 2022 of the same year.
