Star Trek: Prodigy is an American animated science fiction television series crafted by Kevin and Dan Hageman. It marks the tenth Star Trek series and ran from 2021 to 2024 as part of Alex Kurtzman's expanded Star Trek Universe. This series targets a younger demographic and represents the first purely 3D animated Star Trek production in the franchise. The show centers on a group of young aliens living in the 24th century who discover a derelict starship named Protostar and begin their journey into Starfleet.

The voice cast includes Brett Gray, Ella Purnell, Jason Mantzoukas, Angus Imrie, Rylee Alazraqui, and Dee Bradley Baker, who portray the young crew aboard the Protostar. Additional voices are provided by Jimmi Simpson, John Noble, Kate Mulgrew, Robert Beltran, Robert Picardo, Jameela Jamil, and Wil Wheaton. Alex Kurtzman originally discussed a youth-oriented animated project in January 2019, with confirmation following shortly after. The Hageman brothers were named as creators and showrunners, and Nickelodeon commissioned two seasons of Prodigy that April. These would be released on the cable network after premiering on Paramount+. Ben Hibon was announced as director and creative lead in August 2020. The production was handled by CBS Eye Animation Productions and Nickelodeon Animation Studio in collaboration with Secret Hideout, Roddenberry Entertainment, and Brothers Hageman Productions.

The series launched on Paramount+ on October 28, 2021, before debuting on Nickelodeon on December 17. The 20-episode first season concluded in December 2022. Production had already begun on the second season when the show was canceled and taken off Paramount+ in June 2023. Netflix acquired the series that October and made the first season available for streaming in December 2023. The second season appeared on france.tv in France in March 2024, followed by a release on Netflix in July. Critics responded favorably to the show, awarding it two Children's and Family Emmy Awards. Although the showrunner intended to continue the series with more seasons, Netflix chose not to proceed.
