Star Trek: Prodigy is a 2021 American animated science fiction television series made by Kevin and Dan Hageman. It marks the tenth Star Trek series and ran from 2021 to 2024 as part of Alex Kurtzman's expanded Star Trek Universe. This series targets a younger demographic and is the first purely 3D animated Star Trek show. The story centers on a group of young aliens in the 24th century who discover the derelict starship Protostar and begin learning about Starfleet.

The young crew of the Protostar is voiced by Brett Gray, Ella Purnell, Jason Mantzoukas, Angus Imrie, Rylee Alazraqui, and Dee Bradley Baker. Additional voices include Jimmi Simpson, John Noble, Kate Mulgrew, Robert Beltran, Robert Picardo, Jameela Jamil, and Wil Wheaton. Alex Kurtzman initially discussed a youth-oriented animated series in January 2019, with confirmation following a month later. The Hageman brothers were named as creators and showrunners. Nickelodeon ordered two seasons of Prodigy that April, with the series premiering on Paramount+ before airing on the cable channel starting December 17. Ben Hibon was announced as director and creative lead in August 2020. The production was handled by CBS Eye Animation Productions and Nickelodeon Animation Studio in collaboration with Secret Hideout, Roddenberry Entertainment, and Brothers Hageman Productions.

The series launched on Paramount+ on October 28, 2021, followed by its debut on Nickelodeon on December 17. The 20-episode first season concluded in December 2022. Production had already started on the second season when the show was canceled and taken off Paramount+ in June 2023. Netflix acquired the series that October and made the first season available for streaming in December 2023. The second season debuted in France on france.tv in March 2024, then released on Netflix in July. Critics responded positively to the show, and it earned two Children's and Family Emmy Awards. Although the showrunner intended to continue the series, Netflix chose not to proceed beyond what was already produced.
