Power Rangers Dino Fury is a television series and the twenty-second installment in the Power Rangers franchise. The initial season launched on Nickelodeon in the United States on February 20, 2021 and ended on December 18, 2021. The second season began airing on Netflix on March 3, 2022, finishing on September 29, 2022; this made it the first season to be broadcast exclusively through an online streaming platform.
Dino Fury marks the first TV production by Entertainment One after its purchase by Hasbro in 2019. The show uses footage, costumes, and props from Kishiryu Sentai Ryusoulger, which is the forty-third installment of the Japanese tokusatsu series Super Sentai, with only a few costume and prop components reused from Ressha Sentai ToQger.
Power Rangers Cosmic Fury debuted on Netflix on September 29, 2023, continuing the narrative of Dino Fury with the same cast returning in their roles. Celebrating the 30th anniversary of the franchise, Cosmic Fury introduced new original suits, while Zord and villain footage were adapted from Uchu Sentai Kyuranger. The season had 10 episodes. It was also the first season of Power Rangers to include a female Red Ranger for an entire season. Cosmic Fury brought back David Yost as Billy Cranston.
Backstory
Sixty-five million years ago, malevolent alien creatures called Sporix Beasts devastated the planet Rafkon before traveling to Earth. Six Rafkonian knights, along with six dinosaurs, were granted power by the Morphin' Masters to become the Dino Fury Power Rangers. They captured the Sporix, but only the Red Ranger, Zayto, survived, entering stasis to stop them from escaping. In modern times, intergalactic warrior Void Knight inadvertently releases the Sporix while attempting to steal them, prompting Zayto and his companion, a cyborg dinosaur named Solon, to assemble a new group of Rangers including teenagers Amelia Jones, Ollie Akana, stepsiblings Izzy and Javi Garcia, and knight Aiyon to fight the threat.

Production
In an interview with Den of Geek, Executive Producer Simon Bennett stated that Dino Fury was initially intended to be a single 22-episode season before a second season was approved and 22 additional episodes were ordered. Bennett explained the extra episodes were meant to "fill in the gaps" between already written installments, while keeping the overall storyline unchanged. He added that starting with Dino Fury, serialized storylines were permitted, noting that earlier seasons required standalone episodes except for the first two and final two episodes.
