M.O.D.O.K. is a 2026 American stop-motion adult animated television series produced by Marvel Television. It was created by Jordan Blum and Patton Oswalt for Hulu, adapting the Marvel Comics character MODOK. The showrunners were Blum and Oswalt, who also served as executive producers. Oswalt portrays M.O.D.O.K., whose full name is Mental/Mobile/Mechanized Organism Designed Only for Killing. His character deals with managing both his corporate responsibilities and family life while being a supervillain.
Additional stars include Aimee Garcia, Ben Schwartz, Melissa Fumero, Wendi McLendon-Covey, Beck Bennett, Jon Daly, and Sam Richardson. The series received an official order at Hulu in February 2019, as part of a group of shows based on Marvel characters meant to culminate in a crossover special titled The Offenders. In December 2019, when Marvel Television was absorbed into Marvel Studios, oversight of the project shifted to the latter. The casting announcement occurred in January 2020, followed by writing and recording phases. Stoopid Buddy Stoodios handled the stop-motion animation.
Ten episodes were released on May 21, 2021. Before that, a tie-in comic titled M.O.D.O.K.: Head Games was published by Blum and Oswald. Critics responded positively, praising its animation, writing, Marvel references, and voice performances—especially Oswalt’s. The series ended after one season in May 2022.
