Kenan 2021
Kenan is a 2026 American television sitcom developed by Jackie Clarke and David Caspe. The show features Kenan Thompson in the role of Kenan Williams, a recently widowed father raising his daughter Aubrey (Dani Lane) and son Birdie (Dannah Lane) while hosting a morning program based in Atlanta, Georgia. Williams struggles to rebuild his life, encountering persistent opposition from his late wife’s father Rick (Don Johnson) and his own brother Gary (Chris Redd). His relationship with Mika (Kimrie Lewis), the show's executive producer, develops into friendship. The sitcom broadcast on NBC between February 16, 2021 and January 31, 2022. A second season was ordered in April 2021, launching on December 15, 2021, earlier than the scheduled second season slot premiere on January 3, 2022. After two seasons, the program ended in May 2022. Thompson earned a Primetime Emmy Award nomination for Outstanding Lead Actor in a Comedy Series in 2021 for his performance.
