Friends: The Reunion 2021
Friends: The Reunion is a 2021 reunion special for the American sitcom Friends, serving as the show’s inaugural feature-length film. The program was hosted by James Corden and executive produced by Marta Kauffman, David Crane, Kevin S. Bright, the main cast, and Ben Winston, who also directed the special. It debuted on HBO Max on May 27, 2021. The special features the core cast returning to original locations like the Friends’ apartments, Central Perk coffee shop, and the iconic water fountain, alongside appearances from show guests and celebrity friends. Participants engaged in table reads, re-enactments of episodes, and shared behind-the-scenes material. This marked the last time James Michael Tyler appeared on screen, as he passed away five months after the special's release, and also the final appearance of Matthew Perry, who died in 2023.
