The Time Traveler's Wife 2022
A 2022 science fiction romantic drama series, The Time Traveler's Wife, adapts the 2003 novel by Audrey Niffenegger. Created and written by Steven Moffat, who had drawn from Niffenegger’s work for Doctor Who, the show was directed by David Nutter. Starring Rose Leslie and Theo James, it aired on HBO beginning May 15, 2022. The series concluded after a single season in July 2022. Fans launched a campaign to revive it, seeking support from other streaming services. It was later removed from HBO Max in December 2022.
The show explores the love story of Henry DeTamble, a man affected by a genetic condition causing random time jumps, and Clare Abshire, whom he meets as a child and later marries. The series mirrors themes from the source material, including determinism, free will, and identity. 197
